The King
The rulers of Galthrea's nations were not born by special bloodlines or descended by supposed gods. They were chosen by the people. The pact between ruler and their people forged, in hope, faith, competency and a vision of a strong promising future.
Reymis's father, Mattheaus, was chosen to bring that vision of his into reality. Mersidia began to flourish, with tribal disputes and borders coming to an end. The legacy was meant to pass to his son in good faith, but an event occurred that would change their world forever.
The arrival of the Dragon Lords.
In time, the king's subjects took to Warlock and all his teachings of life and the universe, leaving the men that built Mersidia behind.
A pact broken, an understanding cast aside forgotten in time. Reymis sought revenge, against his own people and the bastard lizard that stole his legacy.
Mersidia was plunged back into darkness, into ignorance, into debauchery and pointless pursuits as he turned them against Warlock after the tragedy of Terlé.
After years of waiting, tragedy has struck again. Now he has his excuse to vanquish this intruder from the stars once and for all.
But that duty is tested by hate. How can one love so, when those that they have given so much to turn their backs on them?
For Reymis and his queen, their palace and marriage has become a prison. As a young prince his future held so much promise, only to be taken by the fickle nature of the very people he was supposed to lead. Reymis watched his legacy disappear, unable to strike back with any sense of justice or revenge, or appeal to reason. Careful planning and politics is all he had against his arch nemesis. The royal hands are tied by tradition, law, duty and fear. Escapism was Reymis's gift and weapon to himself and his people.
Now, he has another chance. His last chance, to finally take back his kingdom and vanquish the invader from another world forever.
