Once Kael's teacher, now his reluctant ally. She carries the weight of the Conclave's secrets and the knowledge that some of them should never be spoken aloud.
The First Dragon Lord

The eldest of the three. He has slept for a thousand years beneath the Ashfall Cliffs. He wakes with a hunger that has nothing to do with fire.

The magicians are the only ones above the royals in Mersidia. This tiny elite group were students of Warlock, they were the most fascinated by him and proved their worth by their enthusiasm, courage and commitment to learn the ways of science or 'magic.'
It started where the spirit in the land was strongest, away from the fabled Moonstone and closer to the people. The students became known as wizards, a guiding light of all that is good and the best in people. Together they formed their school Parkerel. The picture-perfect forest was a meeting place for all people, before the tragedy. Ever since, Reymis outlawed magic because of its association with the Dragon. A law that was never enforced too harshly for he feared retaliation, some civilians continued to brave the law and travelled to Parkerel to learn the ways of life and the universe.
As the land fractured, so did the type of student. Those that wanted to learn magic for their own benefit became known as Soothsayers, those that wanted to harm others were deemed Sorcerers and expelled by all.
The wizards purpose was lost like all others. Reymis keeps magic for himself, leaving the work to his servants or more masters depending on ones point of view.
The wizards carry a burden heavier than Reymis, they too will now splinter in the new tragedy that will change their land forever. What lies ahead is a quest for help, for hope and a way to stop the war before its too late.

There are many warriors in Mersidia. Yet few you would want to meet.
Not all of Mersidia's people accepted King Mattheaus's vision of a united land. Separatists remained, wanting to be left alone and untrusting of others.
When the Dragon Lords arrived, the entire worldview of Galthrea changed. They were not alone; life did indeed exist out there among the stars. And now it was here.
The barbarians took it as an invasion, further isolating themselves creating a nation within a nation. Looking for the forbidden Moonstone.
Others took it upon themselves to learn magic and science to further their own agenda, bringing terror and chaos for hire.
The best of warriors did not choose that life, it chose them. Herentia and her sisters fled under attack into the forests of the dead lands in which they would spend their youth growing up. Learning how to survive on their own, to fight and to tame nature and wild beasts.
But now fate will challenge all warriors in ways they never imagined. In an all out war for the future of Mersidia, and against the Dragon Lord who swore to protect them.
